so we enter day 4 of aslan, and last night i think he very clearly announced that he feels comfortable in my room and at my home.
so instead of achilles, his name (officially official this time) is Aslan…
remember? the lion from narnia?
so around christmas, my brother informed us that his girlfriends dog Joey would soon be staying with us as her new condo does not have a yard and is generally not well suited for animals.
ok, this should be fun, we’ve not had a dog in a while, just cats.
so Joey turns out to be a small little yippy dog with severe behavior issues, however thanks to my brother working with him on a daily basis, Joey has dramatically improved.
now we’re half-way through january, and we’re visiting my sister in san diego this past weekend for my nephew luke’s birthday party (though his birthday was on the 5th) and as we’re getting ready to leave for home yesterday around 9am, my sister’s neighbor winnie calls, and she’s been trying for a couple months to find a home for her almost-7-year-old golden retriever Olliver.
not good.
we love golden retrievers.
so after a brief introduction, we find ourselves heavy one Olliver for the drive home.
given his behavior during the 160 mile car ride, i’d say he’s a keeper.
