I find myself once again believing that College is not the right place for me.
College is for people who can commit to something, people who can work through four or more years of the same bullshit.
I just can’t do that. Even if I were sure that I could, I’m not sure
that I would want to.
I can’t think of anything in this world that I’d be willing to dedicate four or more years to, and certainly not a ton of meaningless busy work and droll reading of ramblings by useless authors and scholars who have not done and will never do anything to actually change the world we live in.

Oh, the bullshit changes - its not the same for all four years, just maybe the first two.
You can do it. You’re a smart guy and I believe in you. Now go read some insipid piece of writing and write a bad paper on it. Go!
Catherine is right. And it is not ALL bullshit. Be on the lookout and on the listen for the names of the teachers who really inspire students and sign up for their classes.
Catherine is also right about how smart you are. But I think you are also capable of writing a really good paper about an insipid piece of writing. In fact, I think you are able to see though the insipid to the idea that should have been written—and write it yourself!
Typo: “see THROUGH”, NOT “see THOUGH”
