a day without an immigrant?

This one makes me laugh, on many levels.

Primarily, a bunch of immigrants, currently residing in a foreign country ILLEGALLY, are protesting in an attempt to be granted a fast track to legal residence or citizenship.

“Look at me, I’m already here, so give me legal rights dammit!”

Yeah, that sounds like a great argument to me.

While this sounds harsh, I am absolutely not opposed to immigration into this country, as long as it flows through the correct channels and occurs legally. Many of these illegals are claiming new legislation, H.R. 4437, currently under senate review will make them felons immediately and deny them their rightfully owed due process, previously afforded them under the old immigration laws, yet they themselves circumvented the very same process and declared that they are not privy to due process when they chose to immigrate to this country illegally.

How plain and simple is that? You want the rights and protections afforded people living here legally, IMMIGRATE LEGALLY, we have a clear, legal system for it, and to top that all off, its pretty easy.

A closing thought, how easy is it for any mexican citizen to immigrate to the united states, regardless of age or health condition?

How easy is it for an American NOT in perfect health to immigrate to Mexico or Canada, etc.?

(A hint, the second question, its damn near impossible)

aperture…

Well, after much toying around I have decided that Apple’s Aperture, even with the recent 1.1 update is simply not yet ready for primetime.

I love the interface and some of the sorting tools, however it is simply way too resource intensive, and does not yet play well with photoshop and the bridge, which is unacceptable for working with raw files.

Oh well, C’est la via, maybe version 2 will be a step in the right direction.
