So i’m at the front counter here… being bored as the morning health freak rush has died down, and I have an hour until my lunch… and one of the older girls, Gina (very much a “mom” figure) is talking to a younger girl Chiani (probably in her late twenties or early thirties) and mentions that she’s doing the “online” thing with match.com and that “you’re young, you don’t have to worry about that…”
So my reply was something like, “you don’t know me very well then…”
And her response is what I believe may be the truism…
“I didn’t think about dating when I was 21, I just got loaded, and whoever was cute, well hey…”
Is that it perhaps? I’ve heard the same thing from a lot of people now, just never quite that bluntly honest… looks really are important… perhaps the most important when you are young.
so for people like me who are not “young” in the typical definition of the word… and am not good looking, we’re just screwed for an entire decade?
That’s what its beginning to seem like… I was born way too late in the history of our planet, and I was born “too old.”
I bet that’s haley (it seems to be as such thus far) just get loaded, and whoever’s cute…
in other words…
Not…
Me.
